I found myself banned from the IRC channel a couple of months ago. As I couldn't offer any help, I was the quiet (and pretty much infrequent) leecher type - I like my manga to pile up so I can spend a nice afternoon with the favourites. Anyway, since after carefully reading the rules I kept to them, I find this rather surprising. Yes, I read the "Any IRC ban is pretty much final" part too, but still. I'm curious. Why, really? Where did I mess up?

what's your IP shown in IRC? (nothing specific, but need to know what ISP you are under in order to determine if you are parted of broad ban victim or not).

Again, if you seem to be banned, you need to provide as much info as possible. Your isp, your nickname, otherwise we won't be able to figure out why.

Ah... I meant to say ip, not isp. Like Vinny said above, your ip as it appears on irchighway. It could even be your IdentD, Vinny bans a lot of those. The best thing to do is just do a /whois on yourself and post the first line here.

Yes, I do place lots of IdentD ban. Sure beats blanket IP/ISP ban people seem to complain about... like whole Brazilians, chatzilla users, Pacbell dingbats, etc, etc...
