Looking for something that is unlicensed

Postby NaweG on Sat May 10, 2008 4:01 am

OK, somewhat odd request, but let me lay out what is up.

I've decided I want to do a Kana project once the entire next volume has been translated, but I assume that's going to be a while. So what to do in the meantime...

I have a script for two episodes, and an outline for 11-12 more of an original story I started to develop at one point called Camp Handiba. While I'm a bit of a wizrd with GiMP and Paint.Net, I'm not that good at Character Design or Backgrounds. So up to now I've let the idea languish.

However, it occurred to me today that if I could find an unlicensed Manga (or better an anime) that takes place at a summer camp, I could use those pictures, tweak them by adding/subtracting characters for my scenes, and tell my own story. Which brings me to my search. I know of Green Green, but that was licensed. Is there anything else similarly camp based that isn't? It doesn't have to have a good story or even have been translated, because I'm using my own story. But good graphics, preferably with good, clean, large scans available would be ideal.

In a similar vein, but for a different project, I'm looking for one that has part of the story taking place in outer space (shots of the inner planets with ships near them even better), and the other parts taking place in a somewhat futuristic earth. That will be the background for a fan-based version of "Tiger, Tiger" which I hope to do after the Kana and Handiba stories.

Sorry this got a bit long, but hope the folks here can point me to some good graphics to tell my story with!
