The one question I've always had about the first volume is that Amano talks at one point about them being able to cool a beer by having Kana stick it between her breasts - which goes along with the normal story of ghosts being like a cold presence - but at other times talks about hearing her heart beat or her blood flowing. What is she pumping, anti-freeze?

The question I have about the second volume is - am I reading it right that no one but Amano (and possibly children) can see Kana? Kind of makes you wonder what the waitresses in the cafe thought when all that food disappeared...

1) ectoplasm
2) on page 25 she says 'the people in the shop were shocked'

I'll buy the ectoplasm for the first answer since it makes as much sense as any other possible answer... though it would appear that ectoplasm can also be used to create glowing lights, and ultimately to create a fireball to keep Amano warm near the end of the first volume.

But for the "visibility" question, they mention that the servers are amazed at the amount of food that was eaten, but no indication if they saw some of the food floating mysteriously or not. And when she returned the balloon, it's hard to tell if the little girl could tell that a nice young lady was giving it to her, or thought (as the mother appeared to) that the balloon just coincidentally floated back down...

Yes, I know, I should just enjoy the ride and not think too much about that

I think no, they did not see any floating food, and two, yes, the little girl saw her because she said thank you.
