Scan... scan only. If I could translate that fast... well, I'd probably be knocking on Gari's door. Was just adding data to Vinny's comment for anyone else who might be trying to determine what they should expect as a commitment if they offered to scan. :D

FYI, it takes me about 90 minutes to scan a chapter (about 25 pages or so). Then takes about 2-3 hours to clean up, adjust the angle and level them. Editing takes about 1-3 days for me (because I'm just that slow with editing).
Translation (if I can)... don't ask, or just read some of the rant I made on Ai-Ren.

hmmmm quite a bit of time but having a scanner myself i understand the 90 minutes for a chapter

SO any suggestions for avoiding bleed through? I "thought" I had done a decent job by taking the pages out and using a black piece of cloth behind each page when I scanned (600 dpi for detail - maybe too detailed). I gather that even with that and playing with the brightness and contrast there was still a little problem on some pages. Of course I'm sure it doesn't help that I'm using 46 year old eyes to look these things over... :D

It's not too bad as it is. As you can see it only showed up in a few places.
