Some are. I don't remember which is which and I haven't time to look, and even if I did I might not remember their names.

By the way... NO REQUESTS!
Read the rules please, as "requests" tends to make people go apeshit and whine about "why has (insert series here) not released in (time frame)?"
I don't want to hear about it.

I remember one, Hagiwara Mai.
I think she started out as Gravure model... now a fully fledged JAV actress.

Takes anywhere from 2 days to 3+ years.

id say the person who is able to translate a whole volume in 2 days is rather highly literate or highly insane and inspired lolz

while taking 3 yrs is so unlikely for a volume to be translated that slow unless the translators are really that not into the manga or rather the manga isnt that interesting...

I think what BigVinny was trying to say was "Drop dead, punk", but I could have just mis-read it.

i think what freedom wants is a thing like this http://www.freewebs.com/ragelessscans/status.htm which i think is a good idea that way ppl can stop checking the site every 30 seconds ;)

Yeah, well our staff consists of myself, one other translator and about 3 editors. We are usually only working on one or two chapters at a time, so... there isn't much point for that. Rather than checking the site every couple days why not just use mangaupdates.com or manganews.net or some such.

lol, well i check mangaupdates too and have this in my reading list but when you have a laptop and wireless internet all over the house plus some free time you tend to check quite often ;) because even manga updates takes a couple of mins after it's up on the site so i check on the site too(only this site though, right now i don't like any other manga enough.) and if your interested in giving a rookie like me a job to help, i'll gladly help for at least a couple of month. I'm a high school senior and since all my classes were APs i have no more work to do and it's driving me nuts!!! lol i never thought i'd say that. and feel free to say no but i am 100% serious if you want my help.

p.s: can't translate and as far as cleaning goes, i've never done it but i'm willing to give it a try as well as all other jobs. i'm also not an idiot and know how to teach myself how to do things. i know there are many tutorials that teach you how to do most things in the scanlation process.

Well, it's not a matter of needing help, it's just that I have other things to do. So, really, the one holding up the process is me. Having another editor won't help much since I am still going to be doing things at the same speed, and the editors that help now are usually idle most of the time.

well if you guys ever need help send me a message but after reading a little in the "help" thread i see you guys could probably get as much help as much as you wanted if you asked for it, unfortunately there aren't many translators. either way keep a list of ppl who want to help and maybe someday you'll find a use for them, just make sure it's not for work in another site, the mangas you choose are the only ones around that i consider worthy of my time :D .
