haha, I wouldn't say we make them perfect, but yeah, personally I prefer the tank scans, that's why I voted no.

Naw, go ahead and wait for the volumes. I prefer quality over quantity.

My Grand Theft Auto IV can keep me busy between releases.

Well I say you do. I've only seen 4 scanlator groups that keep this awesome quality up. You're one of the 4, and it's the 4 that I only visit.
So far - you've released the most stuff that I find interesting, others have a few or only one thing of interest.

Also... LMAO @ voting by yourself. It's funny cause you want others opinion when you know what you want.

I also voted no... I haven't seen what the umi mag scans look like, but I've worked on mag scans in the past (negima mostly). It's possible to get them to look fairly good, but you need to have an editor who is pretty skilled and has a boat-load of time on his hands. Most editors aren't really interested in putting the time into it that it would take to make them look really good. Besides that, there's always the possibility that certain things would get changed by the time the tank rolls out. Whether it was fixing an error, or the mangaka didn't like the way a certain scene worked and they changed it.

Right, and for the record I would probably find a balance between quality and efficiency if I were to do them. So they would not be the best quality and they would not be the worst. As for the Umi scans, I have seen much worse when it comes to magazine scans, but still they could never look like tank scans.

Refer to my comical "preview" pics I post on the topic every-now-and-then for the quality of magazine scan. It's quite atrocious.

Btw, I guess volume two is over?

In all the mangas? I've been wondering why there have been no releases <.<

No, volume two isn't done yet, still a few chapters left I think.

I'm voting to continue the tank scans as well.

While the thought of more regular releases is appealing, I don't mind waiting for the higher quality stuff, since I've seen just how good you guys can make them.

The only time I prefer magazine scans over tanks is when there is a huge wait time between releases from the scanlators (for example, I've seen some groups release high quality stuff, but only a chapter or two ever 4-6 months, whereas I can get decent, if not great, magazine scans on a weekly, or biweekly basis), and even then I generally replace the magazine scans when higher quality ones become available.

So, yeah, keep up the great, high quality work you guys have been doing!

I don't really read Umi, but as a universal thing, I much prefer tank scans. While, yes, I would read mag scans if they came out first, I would get the tank scans as soon as I could.

If it comes down to one or the other, I would be willing to wait a long time to get the tanks over the mag scans. Higher quality is always worth the wait.
