Yup .. i hate open endings. This one though wasn't completely open . The question will they be together in the future remains .. but i think it's pretty clear that the will be . They were thinking the same thing at the end , weren't they ? So yeah it's a happy ending .. i gotta' say Bitter Virgin really spun my mind..
Anyway .. nothing changes the fact that i think it's the best manga in it's genre . A BIG thanks to Solaris staff .. and Kusunoki Kei .

I liked the ending. Like they mentioned, they have a lot of obstacles to overcome, so how could it just be happily ever after? Maybe it will be, maybe it won't be. Who can predict the future?

I just needed to say that I agree fully with you. Fairytale endings aren't exactly realistic and, imo, wouldn't really fit with how Bitter Virgin was flowing. I think a Fairytale ending would have felt much more forced; whereas this ending flowed pretty naturally.

Though I do suppose there are 'loose' ends out there. But not every story ends neatly. They have ended one chapter of their life and entered another. Bitter Virgin is merely the window to that chapter.

I personally think that this ending is good for this manga because it is a happy ending with the taste of bitterness.

I'm extremely grateful.

the ending was great and it flowed naturally but as you say who can predict the future with a story this good you kinda wanna know what happens next like how do they over come the obstacles

Yeah I agree regarding the "taste of bitterness" due to their last thoughts of their relationship but if you think further its a happy ending.

she wants him to have a cheerful girlfriend and he wants her to have a mature man who can take care of her....well I believe both would eventually grow into those images:

she becoming cheerful because she gets more and more comfortable with him resulting in her being able to really open herself willingly.

he is already taking care of her in terms of protection and he will eventually mature with the time...

sorry but I had to write this in order to believe in a happy end myself :D because theres so much emotion in this manga its mind blowing and I need a happy end for this!

I agree. These were my thoughts after reading the last chapter. The fact that they are thinking more of the other person than themselves ( to me anyway) pretty much represents thier pure intentions, and that thier relationship will last.
